First Steps on the Path to Enlightenment
It is the destiny of humanity to become enlightened, and the time to do so is now. At its core, enlightenment is an ever appropriate perspective, a pair of glasses to view life through—a detached, compassionate, and rigorous way to engage in all aspects of life. Enlightenment allows you to shed more of your ego, with its motives and perspectives, and use life’s experiences to discover who you truly are deep inside. It transforms the appropriate parts of your self until you are just right with life and your prebirth contract. When you grow, your soul grows, and that is why we call this a spiritual path.
As a young girl, I actively began this path at the age of eleven, simply because I didn’t like who I was, how I reacted to the circumstances in my life, and how my emotional reactions owned me. I didn’t know until many years later that I, at that age, had already embarked on my spiritual path—a path where I owned that I was the problem, and if life was going to get better, I was the one who had to change. My craving for spiritual growth has driven me all my life, and magnetically brought to me an incredible array of spiritual teachers, some from the physical world, but mostly teachers direct from the spiritual realm. Over the years, I found that I resonated more with the teachers that came directly from the realm of spirit. They knew more and had a stronger connection with the core truths, which they delivered in a much shorter period of time. I realized that this was a non-traditional voyage, yet it was what I resonated with, and trusted most.
There will be those who pick up this book and find my non-traditional voyage of listening to guides communicate to me through physical channels, and later learning how to directly communicate with the world of spirit through telepathy, to be alien to their own beliefs. Yet I ask you to please consider continuing to read these words. When you think about it, many of the religious leaders we hold dear: Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, Abraham, and even when we go directly to God all now exist in the realms of spirit—where better to go for direct guidance? Whether you believe in this type of communication or not, there is much wisdom in these pages that can help you in these increasingly difficult and challenging times. Please suspend judgment temporarily, and let the words and suggestions speak for themselves, regardless of their source. Your personal discernment will tell you if what we speak is valuable for your life or not.
The path in Steps to Enlightenment is how Keith and I live our lives everyday. Those who know us well know this to be true. We offer to you the very same path the spirit guides gave us to pursue our own enlightenment. The time is now to rev up your own personal engines on spiritual growth. There is a dizzying array of spiritual paths to follow. Be careful. Many spiritual teachers today are trying to lead you down paths that will not take you to enlightenment. It is your job to discern. Discernment is vital on any spiritual path. There are spiritual counselors, teachers, gurus, channels, psychics, healers, and intellectuals, as well as ethereal spirit guides all claiming to be genuine, informative, helpful, humble, and anchored in the light. The problem is that many of them are not anchored in the light and are not exclusively delivering the information that will be good for you on your path to enlightenment. It is equally important for you to be discerning of both earth and ethereal teachers. How can you tell if they are of the dark or the light?
My husband, Keith, and I have been trained under the most rigorous, and highly unusual, circumstances. We were trained in discernment long before we met each other. Like all newly forming relationships we would share significant stories about our pasts. In each of our cases when it came to our training around discernment we didn’t quite believe each other for years. The stories were too far out, too weird, too fantastic. Yet, as time played out, and discernment skills were observed, we each began to realize that these fantastic stories really did happen. For reasons now clear, we were each taught high levels of discernment in life and death scenarios. Why? Because it forced each of us to thoroughly develop our ability to discern the dark in spiritual teachers, physical and ethereal claiming to be bringing vital information but were all too often doing more harm than good. Though neither of us knew it at the time, we were destined to be spiritual crap detectors for the public. We were being trained to teach physical, astral, and ethereal discernment to be eagle-eyed-gate-keepers. It’s a huge responsibility that neither one of us takes lightly.
I’m sure you are curious what on earth we each went through. In a world where the spiritual path is becoming more front and center globally, it is important to realize that the division between the physical and non-physical planes is blurring more and more. Earth is gradually moving into the 4th dimension, or ethereal plane, and as this occurs the 4th dimension is becoming more and more accessible. Both of our experiences were certainly of that nature where, while we were on earth, we were exposed to astral and ethereal forces that could readily and easily affect the physical plane. All things are ultimately possible and belief is the doorway. It is through an open mind that all mysteries can unfold.
Keith’s prebirth contract included defending and protecting himself and his family from the very dark ethereal beings who routinely abduct people from earth for the purpose of conducting experiments. He refused to allow the beings to take anyone in his family, not an easy task. It was a series of usually nightly battles over a period of six awful months. These battles caused nasty radiation burns on his body and left him exhausted. He learned how to sense these nasty characters in their vicinity long before he could see them, with his third eye vision, allowing him to be prepared. These were life and death times. These beings do abduct people who are never seen or heard from again.
During the same period it was time for Keith to transform his inappropriate belief that it was his job to save the world. This belief caused Keith to be stretched with discarnate entities invading his auric field. Discarnate entities are people who have died and gotten trapped in the astral plane for a number of reasons such as they died addicted to some substance or they were somehow incomplete with a major aspect of their life. These dark entities typically can be found in places such as bars where they can suck the energy off drunken patrons. In Keith’s case the discarnate entities would cause him to have extreme and unusual mood shifts, thoughts that were not typically his and confusion along with tremendous energy strains and drains. All the while Keith had to keep finding his own truth, his center and figure out how to deal with each unique personality and drive them out of his space. This forced him to develop his ability to discern between himself and the dark aspects of others in his aura. These types of dark entities test your sanity, sabotage your ability to be an effective healer and psychic, destroy your health and strip away any hope for the future. Keith rapidly and thoroughly developed his ability to discern when dark energy had entered his energy field and how to get rid of it. It was strenuous and continuous work for a year and a half. During this same time he got more humble and surrendered to the promptings of the higher powers. As a gifted natural soul healer since 1972 he has learned the very nature of how to transform and has discovered many extraordinary things about souls that is not readily found in books.
In my case my soul chose to go into a prebirth contract with another person, Katrina, who was slated to bring to earth some significant information to assist in the enlightenment of humanity especially through transforming the school systems. Katrina’s gift was potentially so powerful at helping humanity that she had to agree to allow the ethereal dark ones to try to stop her by killing her. My ex-husband and I agreed to protect her physical body, to keep her alive. We nearly failed on four occasions succeeding by a mere 2 to 4% each time. I learned to acutely sense the presence of the dark: Katrina’s life depended on it. During this strenuous 2-year period Katrina was also a trance channel: a process whereby she allowed a non-physical “person” to inhabit her body and speak through her. Katrina was an open conduit who had no control over who came through her body. Both dark and light beings frequented her and it was my job to discern who was in her body and if the information was of the light or dark. Lives depended on whether or not I was accurate. Prudence forced me to develop my discernment, thoroughly, rapidly and accurately.
There are many ethereal beings at our disposal today to assist us on our path to enlightenment. And why not tap them, many are highly evolved, enlightened beings who themselves have lived lives on earth. They know what it takes to work through issues and progress along the path to enlightenment. Their guidance is invaluable. These spirit guides come through a vast range of vehicles, including trance channeling, written channeling, psychics and healers and others. But just because these are ethereal beings doesn’t mean they are automatically of the light. There are some big names in the channeling world that are dark souls who have fooled many, many followers and disciples. In fact there are probably more NOT of high light, and THAT is a problem. It is YOUR job to discern which vehicle and information is pure, valuable and accurate and which is not.
Keith and I bring these hard earned skills to our work as spiritual teachers. We are intuitives who have learned to discern if the information coming from the spirit world, through channels, gurus, intellectual teachers, psychics, telepaths or healers, is accurate and whether it is from the light or the dark. This book will help teach you this discernment. It is our greatest desire for each of you to be able to discern the light from the dark, and save yourself from a lot of grief, and from being unnecessarily derailed from your spiritual path and purest truth.
Please don’t get the wrong idea. Even though we work directly with spirit to bring you this valuable information, this is not a woo-woo, airy-fairy new age book. It is grounded, practical and can be immediately applied to your daily path to enlightenment. Throughout Steps To Enlightenment we give you tools so you can become proficient at knowing your selves and discerning between the light and the dark in yourselves, in others and from the world of spirit so you too can become your own best crap detector.
